From a Children's Tea Party to a Celebrity Restaurant

P&O

After a day ashore passengers don't need to worry about finding somewhere to eat in an unfamiliar town - there will be a fine dining restaurant, a grill, a tapas bar or an oriental style restaurant just a short walk or elevator ride away from their cabin. No need to hire a taxi, it's all there on the doorstep.

If a passenger has special dietary requirements such as when diabetic, or requires fat free, vegetarian or gluten-free meals, with a little prior notice these can be provided for. Infants are also catered for with a selection of baby food available on all the ships.

Children's food preferences can be a nightmare, but family friendly P&O Cruises are well aware of this. Breakfast and lunch is usually a straightforward affair, but the evening meal, which for youngsters will mean supper, can present problems for parents. Much as we love our kids there are times when we need an evening on our own. On the Aurora, the Oceana and the Oriana, P&O have solved the problem by providing a children's teatime, leaving time for mum and dad to put them to bed, and enjoy a meal together later in the evening. On the Ventura a special children's dinner is also served in the early evening if required.

With the children taken care of the adults are free to try the wide range of culinary options available on cruise holidays.

P&O Cruises are also aware of the attraction of celebrities, and in particular celebrity chefs. That famous advocate of great British food, Gary Rhodes, has two restaurants on P&O cruise ships - the Arcadian Rhodes on Arcadia, and the Oriana Rhodes on Oriana. Diners in his on board restaurants enjoy the same high class dining experience as those that eat at Gary's Rhodes Twenty Four restaurant in London.

The hugely talented, Marco Pierre White - often referred to as 'the godfather of modern cooking' has three restaurants in the P&O fleet. The Ventura is home to the White Room; the Café Jardin can be found on the Oceana and the Aurora has the Café Bordeaux. All three will be presenting food in keeping with Marco's three star Michelin reputation.

Another Michelin starred chef, Atul Kochhar, a master of Asian cuisine, has been enlisted to oversee the Sindhu restaurant on P&O's newest vessel, Azura. Atul has attracted much attention from food lovers with his innovative recipes adapted from traditional Indian cooking, and this restaurant is bound to be extremely popular.

Joining Atul in advising on the Azura will be the flamboyant sommelier, Olly Smith of 'Saturday Kitchen' fame. He will be personally drawing up the wine list for the Glass House Wine Bar and Restaurant and recommending specially selected wines to accompany the different courses.

All three celebrity chefs are frequently on board, meeting diners, giving demonstrations, and hosting question and answer sessions.

Jetline Cruise are fully bonded agents, we are members of the Association of Cruise Experts (ACE). offering discounted P&O Cruises, we sell P&O cruise holidays cheaply not cheap cruise holidays.
